Whoa! I'm really getting used to this being-at-home lark. It has taken me a couple of weeks to settle into it but now, everything seems to be flowing better. I've realised that some days I just have to go with the flow and change my plans if required. Like today.
I started out with just one outdoor job in mind, lots of sewing and some local shopping. It was drab and cold outside this morning, grey skies, not good. Thought I was going to be tucked up inside all day. But no, thankfully.
As things have turned out I've been quite industrious, and it feels good! Local shopping has been done, small amount of horrid sewing has been done (not enough as it happens but more of that another day!) lovely lunch made, see below
I have eggs from the girls, chives just outside the kitchen door
All mashed together, sunshine in a bowl!
Add mayo, the free range type, of course! (no, I do not make my own!)
A bit of cress and Bob's your uncle!
As by now the weather had brightened considerably, I borrowed mum's reciprocating saw and set the saw horse up, gathered all my wombled wood and began sawing away. It took an hour, but this was the result!
Note to self: get wombling soon!
I've also cut the lawns, entertained the chickens and taken loads of pretty flower shots, and it's not yet tea time! Look at this sky, I really hope this is a sign of things to come for summer, we could do with a nice one!
All these flowers are out, everything looks so great in the garden when the sun shines, don't you think?
The one thing missing from the flower photos is a feathery backside! You don't get far in my garden without seeing a chicken rooting around in the borders!
