We've had a little snow in Birmingham. Actually, we had rather a lot of snow last Friday, and a fair bit yesterday too. I do love snow, it covers things which are ugly and is a great leveller of scenery, everything looks better with snow! If you've been following my blog for a few years you'll remember my beautiful Christmas day walk in December 2010, when it was -11 and stunning! (see present header pic to the left of this article)
Not quite -11 here at the mo, in fact what we have had is thawing as we speak. However, I've had a pretty little visitor to the garden, a fieldfare.
The blackbirds weren't too happy, sitting around in the snowfall
Although, looks like someone had been having fun in the snow!
Love these wing prints!
...and these!
I had a bench round here somewhere
Hanging baskets
Chairs
My poor plum tree!
Trellis
Random garden shots
I have strawberry plants in there somewhere!
Maisie stays indoors!
The girls are not happy with the snow, it has made their world a rather dark place. Despite me spending hours on Saturday up a step ladder with a very long handled broom, brushing the eight inches of snow off the run roof. Only for another 5 inches to fall on Sunday. C'est la vie, as they say in France!
Love your bird shots- Maisie is very pretty!
